About BEI

Boilerroom Equipment, Inc. was founded in 2005 to supply highly engineered heat recovery products to the industrial boiler industry.  BEI performs both engineering and manufacturing at its plant in Export Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh. BEI is proud of the reputation it has earned in a relatively short time as a leading innovator and pioneer in the boiler industry. BEI pioneered the use of on-line performance and estimating software to support its products in real-time; a service still largely unmatched by any competitors.  The HeatSponge economizer represents the state-of-the art in industrial boiler economizer technology. From it’s lightweight one-piece construction to its ease of long-term maintenance design the HeatSponge is unmatched in the market. In 2009 BEI undertook one of the most ambitious new product developments in the commercial boiler industry; a retrofit condensing hydronic boiler economizer. The HeatSponge Sidekick represents the most important product in the hydronic boiler market since the first condensing boilers. Until the development of the Sidekick the only way conventional hot water boiler owners could realize condensing efficiencies was to demolish their boiler, regardless of age or condition, and install a pricy and proprietary condensing boiler. The Sidekick is a first-to-market product that was designed specifically with the operational realities of the hydronic boiler market.

While steam boiler economizers make up the bulk of their product BEI also engineers and manufactures steam accumulators and waste heat boilers for industrial clients. BEI is proud of its patent-pending multi-tank accumulator design which utilizes smaller, modular accumulator tanks to provide a far more cost effective solution to single, large accumulator tanks. BEI has installed turnkey boiler rooms and served as expert consultants for companies seeking change in their boiler operation.
